* About the figure: A poor facial feature tracker on my own face.

I am thrilled to have Dan Roth as my advisor. I was fortunate to work with Hamid Sheikhzadeh as my undergraduate advisor.

My research is on theoretical and empirical analysis of information, for learning, inference and decision making; and it is broadly related to the blend of statistics and computation and other related fields.
Here are some areas I am interested in:

  • Machine Learning

  • NLP

  • Optimization

  • Computer Vision

Also, I am organizing AIIS seminars at CS@UIUC. Ping me if you are nearby and interested in giving a talk!
